Custom Quilting

We recently did a little custom quilting on this amazing quilt.
The fabrics used by the client were Feed Company by Sweetwater. They had a block of the month to go with the fabric line and it's beyond adorable!!
Lyndsey did an amazing job piecing it!! I'm so glad we had the opportunity to quilt it for her!!

Handi Quilter Training

We had the pleasure to travel to Salt Lake City Utah for Handi Quilter retailer training.
Their 80,000 sq foot facility was amazing!!
They have such a great flow of operations and double and triple check systems that really make their product the best out there. Did you know each Handi Quilter machine you purchase is ran through a series of testing to make sure it can handle all of your quilting needs?
Many companies only test one or two machines per production but Handi Quilter tests ever machine. I don't know about you but that makes me feel better!

I'm so pleased that we are able to be a retail location for such an amazing company and product!

I do hope you stop in soon and try one out!!

Pattern Testing

I had the chance to test a great pattern by @chellequilts on Instagram.

The pattern went together super fast. In fact, after church on Sunday we went out with family for a super long lunch. We stayed quite a while catching up and visiting. I'm not sure what time I started on this quilt but I know it was later afternoon. I cut the fabrics and completely sewed the top together by that evening. I told you it was fast!!

For the backing I went with some of my all time favorite Happy Go Lucky. I barely had enough to cover the back!!

Just look how close that was! It was rough but I made it lol.

For the quilting I went with a feathery damask pattern.

I would definitely reccomend this pattern to anyone! I love how it's fat quarter friendly. The quilt finishes at 50x60 inches and is a great lap size. I feel that it is beginner friendly and the pattern will be available to purchase in her shop by August 15. Thank you so much for the chance to test this great pattern Michelle!!

Starplus Quilt

I finally got around to Quilting my star plus quote. I chose Baptist fans but I am not a fan of dense quilting so I spread them apart a bit. I really like the way it looks and feels this way.
The next step now to get the binding on!! I will host a full picture when the binding is complete.

The pattern is called starplus and it is listed in my Etsy shop but you can also get a digital download a copy on Craftsy by searching starplus quilt :)

Our Little Shop

We have been working like crazy on our little shop and thought I would share some photos.

Currently we have about 200 bolts but new fabrics are arriving weekly.

We are now also Handi Quilter Authorized dealers!! We are accepting quilts for edge to edge quilting. I will post more details later but in the meantime just message me for details!! We have the infinity and the Sweet 16 models on the display floor now.

They both do such a great job!! Here is a quilt that we quilted on the infinity. I just love the orange peel quilting!!

I do hope that you enjoyed the tour of our little shop. Please understand it is a work in progress and we are so excited to share with you!
